id Software has unveiled a new bundle bringing together Doom and Doom II. Named “Doom + Doom II,” this new game package introduces several improvements and new content for both iconic titles. It is also available through Game Pass.
Doom + Doom II Bundle Released
Announced at QuakeCon 2024, the Doom + Doom II bundle combines both games into a single package for the first time. Thanks to id Software’s KEX game engine, it supports 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rates.
Additionally, it offers a multiplayer experience for up to 16 players. With cross-platform support, you can compete with players from different platforms.
In addition to graphical enhancements, the bundle provides customizable fonts and a range of accessibility options like text-to-speech and speech-to-text for improved gameplay. Players can switch between the original soundtracks and entirely new music. Doom II will also feature some new music tracks.
A new single-player chapter titled “Legacy of Rust” has been specially created for this package. Developed in collaboration with Nightdive Studios and MachineGames, this chapter continues the adventure while staying true to the story.
The Doom + Doom II bundle is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows. It will also be included in Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
